About 19 or so years industry experience working on a wide range of titles, including
Terminator Salvation, Saints Row, Overlord, Hoopworld, Unreal Tournament 3, Dishonored, and Dead Island 2.
Specialties: Concept art, 3d modelling and texturing of all sorts.
As concept artist, primarily on Dead Island 2, Ive been involved in creating designs for environments, props, and characters. As well as on various pitches.
My responsibilities were mainly creating environment art for Dishonored. Props, modular sets and textures/materials. Occasionally some concept art as well
I was hired mainly to be the go-to guy when it came to textures and materials and any processes associated with those things. Consequently, apart from merely producing assets, I’ve also been responsible for ensuring the consistent quality of the texturework through giving feedback to the other artists.
My main responsibility was to create high quality artwork whether it be Concept art, Texture work or 3d modelling. As senior artist, my responsibilities have been to act as an “in-between” between the Artists and the Leads as well as the Art director. I gave feedback to the Artists and consulted the Leads and the Art director on artistic and frequently technical issues. In addition, I substituted as Lead artist over my team of 9 people when the need arose. I’ve also been responsible for training new hires and mentoring them during their first month.
As 2d artist, my main responsibilities were to create textures for supplied 3d models as well as concept art for the modellers, including modelsheets.
